About Exotic Underworlds
Brian took over Exotic Underworlds in the summer of 2020. His love of animals and passion for working in the pet industry led him to make the decision to purchase another pet store.
Brian's love for animals goes back to his childhood, growing up with dogs, cats, birds, and fish in the house, and helping out on his grandfather’s dairy farm. Brian carried that passion into adulthood, founding Exotic Underworld’s sister store, Aqua Brill as a fish breeding company with his wife, Mirriam, in September 2015.
"We really loved animals and became obsessed with supplying our fish country-wide. We always felt we were missing out on customer interaction, but due to being active-duty military, couldn't open a store of our own.
By late 2017, we knew retirement from the military was coming near, and could finally make our dream of first establishing Aqua Brill as a pet store a reality. With pet stores becoming more and more commercialized, we wanted our store to embody the ‘everyone is family’ feeling that is becoming rare these days. Every receipt we hand to our customers has our cell phone number on it and we encourage everyone to give us a call anytime, day or night, if help or advice is needed for their new furry (or scaled) family member. With 70 percent of our customer's cell phone numbers programmed into my phone, we find comfort in knowing that we have stayed true to what Aqua Brill and Exotic Underworlds stands for and will continue to do so into the future.
We are proud that we can continue to serve our Soldiers and families in Hinesville. No matter where you work in this great community, you are serving Soldiers, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. We know you have a million choices when shopping online and we thank you for choosing us; we are excited to have you as part of the Aqua Brill and Exotic Underworld family.
K-9 battle buddies is a non-profit organization in Hinesville that gives service dogs to Soldiers suffering from PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). Mention ‘donate’ in your order notes and we will donate 10 percent of our profit to them." - Brian
